A nutella cake in a mug......oh my!! I had to try making this delectable cake. Basically I mixed all of the ingredients in the cup till smooth, then placed the cup in the microwave for 2 minutes. I dusted it with a generous amount of cocoa powder and a spoon of whip cream on top. This cake is extremely gooey and moist, almost brownie like.
I made some adaptations from the original recipe. I used agave syrup instead of sugar and whole wheat flour with a pinch of baking powder instead of self-rising flour. I also added a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.
Preparation Time And Cooking Time – 2 to 4 minutes
Serves – 2
Ingredients
4 tablespoons self-raising flour3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons nutella
3 tablespoons skim milk
1 tablespoon raw sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 egg
Method
Combine all ingredients in an over-sized
microwave safe mug. Whisk lightly with a fork until combined and smooth.
Microwave for a minute watching as the cake rises in the mug, stopping
if it is about to overflow and continuing a couple of times for 10
second intervals till cooked. [Don't be tempted to overcook. The cake
virtually finishes cooking in that first 1 minute rise]
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
